Sasume is the romanization (changing a non-English word to English) of the Korean word for "deer". I chose the deer as my motif, as they are very agile and free animals. Pilates help us move our bodies freely and helps us maintain our functional fitness throughout our life, and I imagined that we can be as graceful and free in our bodies as deer are.
